In its 2021 March meeting NuPECC (Nuclear Physics European Collaboration Committee www.nupecc.org) re-elected Marek Lewitowicz (GANIL, France) as Chair and appointed SMI Director Eberhard Widmann as Deputy Chair for a second period of 3 years.
E. Widmann has been representing Austria in NuPECC since 2006. NuPECC is an Expert Committee of ESF-Science Connect and has the objective to promote and develop a strategy for Nuclear Physics in Europe. Its most important activity is the publication of a long-range plan every 5-10 years expressing the view of the community on the most important topics and activities to be pursued in the coming period. The last long range plan was issued in 2017.
