There are plenty of opportunities for Austrian researchers to develop their interdisciplinary (particularly system analysis) and international research skills at IIASA:
Young Scientists Summer Program
The Young Scientists Summer Program (YSSP) is an annual three-month program open to talented doctoral researchers whose interests correspond with ongoing IIASA research. Accepted participants are fully integrated into the institute under the guidance of IIASA scientists. Applications can be submitted from October - January each year at the IIASA YSSP website. Limited funding is available for the entire period upon selection of a successful candidate.
Please contact the Austrian NMO Secretary, Dr. Viktor Bruckman for more information.
The Postdoctoral Fellowship Program at IIASA offers postdocs an opportunity to conduct their own interdisciplinary research in collaboration with the IIASA research programs or special projects. Postdoctoral positions are up to two years in duration. To apply for a Postdoc position at IIASA, please apply online. Several support programs are accepting submissions throughout the year.
The institute employs over 300 scientific staff and 100 support staff on an ongoing basis. IIASA offers an attractive and stimulating work environment as well as an attractive package of benefits.
