At the Phonogrammarchiv, the broad spectrum of personnel and content in the fields of technology, conservation and long-term preservation as well as in the humanities, social sciences and cultural studies offers good conditions for interface projects, for example in the field of Material Culture Studies, which is characterised by the productive interplay of natural sciences and humanities.
The Austrian Academy of Sciences supports research on cultural heritage with the Heritage Science Austria funding programme and is part of the Heritage Science Austria network.
