Moa Airijoki (PhD in Religious Studies, University of Bergen, 2024) is a historian and religious studies scholar specializing in Christian Arabic monasticism and textual traditions in the premodern period. After completing her doctorate, she joined Linköping University as an associate professor, where she teaches History of Christianity (2025–present). She has been part of the REVidEM team since September 2026. Her main area of investigation within the frame of REVidEM is the Copto-Arabic reception of Apophthegmata Patrum and related literature. Her research examines how early ascetic ideals were reconstructed and disseminated in Arabic monastic florilegia, particularly in the context of the Coptic Renaissance (12^th–14^th centuries CE). She conducts manuscript-based research and employs digital methodologies to shed new light on processes of textual authority, community construction, and cultural memory in medieval Coptic Christian Egypt.
