The ITA will continue its research for the European Parliament

The European Parliament has decided to continue its cooperation with leading international TA institutions for another five years.

The STOA panel of the European Parliament will continue to include expert opionions on technology assessment in its decision-making process. The STOA panel (Science and Technology Options Assessment) negotiates complex social, economical and ecological effects of modern technologies.

Since 2005, STOA cooperates with a number of European technology assessment organisations, which formed the ETAG (European Technology Assement Group), coordinated by Germany's ITAS in Karlsruhe. Since 2010, the ITA is a member organisation of ETAG.
