
The STOA panel of the European Parliament will continue to include expert opionions on technology assessment in its decision-making process. The STOA panel (Science and Technology Options Assessment) negotiates complex social, economical and ecological effects of modern technologies.
Since 2005, STOA cooperates with a number of European technology assessment organisations, which formed the ETAG (European Technology Assement Group), coordinated by Germany's ITAS in Karlsruhe. Since 2010, the ITA is a member organisation of ETAG.
