The main hall on the first floor was very well filled; the students proudly presented their results on the billboards.
 

The richness of technology assessment

Posters on a wide selection of topics were produced in group work. These include block chain, electric mobility and driverless cars, augmented reality, nanotechnology in medicine, artificial intelligence, smart home and the aging society and care.

Kurt Matyas, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and initiator of the new introduced course was also very proud. In a short speech, he congratulated the students on their work. He is already looking forward to continuing in the coming terms.

On behalf of the ITA, Mahshid Sotoudeh, André Gazsó, Leo Capari and Walter Peissl were in action.

"We were able to reach so many students from the sometimes very different disciplines with this course and arouse their enthusiasm for technology assessment", said Mahshid Sotoudeh, head of the course, who was delighted with the cooperation and the high motivation of the participants. "Interdisciplinary teams from the fields of electrical engineering, process engineering, architecture and spatial planning, technical physics, mathematics and computer science have dealt with socially relevant topics and reflected on the consequences of technology. The results speak for themselves, the four ITA experts agree.

A two-day workshop entitled "Summer School" preceded the course in summer 2017.
