Smoke and mirrors?

The e-cigarette involves fewer harmful substances when vaping than when smoking cigarettes. What remains unexplored is the way in which consumption and the inhibition threshold change, especially among younger people. There are differences in handling, and the acquisition is almost entirely regulated by law.

Whether melon, strawberry or cotton candy, there is a wide range of flavours to choose from, a feature which is attractive for those who want to try. Not all who attempt to transition make the switch – elements like haptics also play a role.

As long-term studies are not yet available, no concrete statements can be made on therapeutic aspects.

Niklas Gudowsky dealt with the British study and summarised the key points in the 28th ITA dossier.
