Public participation, policy advice and self-reflection were the key words in this first half of the year. Michael Nentwich sums it up.

The framework agreement to advise the Austrian Parliament was launched in the middle of last year. The best occasion for the ITA team not only to deal with policy advice, but also to question their own methods; to check whether the criteria and standards still fit for evaluation, or whether a change and adaptation is currently in progress. More and more often, the opinions of the citizens are included in the projects. And they are wide-ranging and include artificial intelligence, IT innovations from an ethical point of view and delivery drones, and whether they may soon be around.
