In the DIACOMET presentation “Many Voices, Shared Responsibility? Principles of Dialogic Communication in International Codes of Ethics – A Comparative Analysis,”
researchers from the CMC – Tobias Eberwein, Marie Rathmann, and Krisztina Rozgonyi – and the Università della Svizzera Italiana – Laura Amigo – examined how ethical codes and guidelines address participatory and dialogic normative principles in public communication.

The growing complexity of public communication poses challenges for establishing universally accepted principles, highlighting the need for a broadened ethical debate that accounts for diverse sociopolitical contexts and normative frameworks.

Our sincere appreciation goes to the IAMCR 2025 organisers for their excellent coordination and commitment to fostering dialogue across disciplines. The conference venue in Singapore offered an inspiring backdrop for meaningful discussions on the future of communication ethics.
