To keep pace with AI and biomedicine worldwide, a research alliance has been established between Vienna and Dresden. It is intended to support independent research and innovations.

Patrick Cramer, President of the Max-Planck-Association and Heinz Faßmann, President of the Austrian Academy of Sciences announced, that there will be a close exchange between the newly established research program for artificial intelligence at the Max Planck Society called BioAI Dresden, and AITHYRA, the Research Institute for Artificial Intelligence in Biomedicine in Vienna.
