From the airport to the city center

Vienna Airport is well connected to the public transportation network and can be reached quickly, comfortably and cheaply by train or bus.

There are several options:

City Airport Train (CAT)

ÖBB Railjet

Express train S7

Bus connections

Taxis in Vienna

Both the cheaper express train ("Schnellbahn") S7 and the more expensive no-stop City Airport Train (CAT), which is 7 minutes quicker than the S7, run every 30 minutes from the airport to the "Wien Mitte" station which is in walking distance to the ÖAW conference venue.

Public transport within the City

All three venues of the conference Travels Beyond the Holocaust. Memorialization, Musealization and Representation of Atrocities in Global Dialogue are within walking distance from each other, a 6 minutes walk between the two ÖAW locations and the VWi.

However, Vienna's public transportation network is very well developed. You can travel quickly and reliably by subway, streetcar and bus if you stay further away or would like to explore the city.
