Kreativität gilt als Wesensmerkmal des Menschen. Eine zentrale Aufgabe der Kunstpädagogik ist die Kreativitäts- und Persönlichkeitsbildung mithilfe der Kunst. Publikationen hierzu sind oft produktorientiert. Johanna Gundula Eders grundlegende Studie lotet jedoch eine kreativitätsbildende Grundhaltung aus. Als epistemologische Methode wählt sie die transdisziplinäre Artistic Research und analysiert kreative Prozesse von fünf Wegbereitern transmedialer Kunst: Marcel Duchamp, John Cage und Merce Cunningham sowie Glenn Gould und Joseph Beuys.
