A conference held in Constance in 2004 was particularly devoted to the discussion of aspects of this topic in late antiquity. The present volume includes the papers presented at this conference in revised versions, on Christian, Gnostic and pagan authors.; Körper und Seele sind grundlegende Kategorien antiker Anthropologie. Speziell mit der spätantiken Diskussion der Thematik befasste sich 2004 eine Tagung in Konstanz.
