The translations, from the 1920s, are by Su Manshu, Wu Fangji, and Liu Pu and finely capture the lyric quality of Burns's poems. Each poem is introduced by an illustration page of Chinese calligraphy by Mr Chi Zhang, MSC BA, Chinese Calligraphy/Brush Painting artist at the University of Edinburgh.
