1.[Ha]ʿân Yaʾzim and his sons Yaḥmad and Yaghbar, of the lineage of Samîʿum,2.clients of Banû Bataʿ, have dedicated to their patron-god Taʾlab Riyâmum,3.lord of Qâdimân Dhû-Damhân (this) bull of bronze and (this) stone stele4.in order that he (i.e. Taʾlab) might protect them and grant them luxuriant crops in5.their terraced fields and their wâdî-side plots; and (they have also dedicated) because Taʾlab Riyâmum saved6.his servant Yaḥmad from the maladies from which he suffered (when he returned) from Sahrat=7.ân and the land of Hawzân. And they praised the power and might of Taʾlab Ri=8.yâmum, in order that he might grant them the good pleasure of their lords and their tribe,9.and that he might protect them from the harm and enmity of any enemy far or [ne=10.[ar]. And they praised Taʾlab on account of all the oracular responses which he rendered to them through his oracle.11.And they praised Taʾlab because he enriched the yield12.of their fields and their wâdî-side plots. Now this dedication took place in the month of13.Dathaʾ of the year of Saʿdʿathtar bin Ḥawfâʿathat, at the end of his term in eponymous office.
