Transformation Processes and Empire in the ancient Afro-Eurasian Worlds

Commission

The Commission seeks to trace diverse transformation processes by combining innovative research approaches, thereby considering the wide-ranging “borderlands” of imperial state formation. Within the frameworks of ancient Afro-Eurasia the Commission concentrates particularly on the Achaemenid Empire. It also pays due attention to comparative aspects and transcends the focus on the ancient worlds.
