Aims and scope

Thank you very much for being available as an expert for an interview as part of the project TransHerit. Towards a new heritage regime? FWF-P37102-G funded by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) at the Institute for urban and regional research (ISR), Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW).

This research project aims to find out how financialisation and housing regulations affect the tangible and intangible dimensions of the preservation of Gründerzeit housing (GHS) and its social dimension by examining two cities, Budapest and Vienna, with similar GHS, strong housing market pressures, but different urban development trajectories. It is conducted at ISR-ÖAW with the collaboration of the Institute for Comparative Media and Communication Studies, ÖAW; the Metropolitan Research Institute in Budapest and HuB Architekten in Vienna.

Confidentiality and anonymity

The contents of the interview are transcribed. In principle, it is permitted to store the collected data for an unlimited period of time according to article 89, para. 1 of the GDPR. All data is stored anonymously, only your name and eventually job title may be retained.

You can withdraw your consent to the use of this interview at any time. However, any statements used in the academic paper until this date are in accordance with statutory requirements and do not have to be removed from written documents.

The participation to this research involves no known risk.

Freedom to withdraw

Your participation in this research is voluntary. You have the right to withdraw at any time and without justification.

Use of recordings and image rights

Your personal data are processed by ISR-ÖAW on the basis of your consent as part of the project TransHerit. You have the right to be informed by the person responsible for this research about the personal data collected, the right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing of data and the right to object to processing as well as the right to data portability.
