Research interests
My research operates at the precision frontier of experimental physics.
What draws me to this frontier is its unique interdisciplinary character, as well as the scale of its experiments.
Here the puzzles and techniques of atomic, nuclear, and particle physics overlap.
Experiments and collaborations are run by comparatively small groups of scientists.
This allows for the involvement in every step of a project's lifecycle from design, construction, and installation through development, measurements, and data taking to analysis, interpretation, and publication.
Within the ASACUSA-Cusp collaboration we form a beam of antihydrogen to test fundamental symmetries.
To do so advanced non-neutral plasma and atomic beam techniques are required as well as particle detections.
In the GRASIAN collaboration we will search for short-range forces by our work toward gravitational quantum states of light atoms.
