Many thanks to everyone who participated in our movie night on Thursday despite the summer heat and a short-term power outage. The documentary “Picture a Scientist” provided an impressive occasion to talk about diversity, equality, and collaboration in science.
In the discussion, it became clear that many of the topics addressed are also relevant to our institute. The perspectives and experiences shared demonstrated how important open exchange is in order to develop solutions together.
A special “thank you” also goes to our speaker from the Working Group for Equal Treatment Issues (AKG) Charlotte Rösel, who accompanied us through the evening and gave us valuable insights. We would like to use this evening as a starting point for further conversations and initiatives and invite everyone to actively participate – Diversity has been proven to contribute to better and more innovative science, and a work environment that promotes diversity and equality benefits us all.
