Researchers from the Marietta Blau Institute for Particle Physics (MBI) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences engaged with visitors throughout the event, discussing dark matter, gravitational waves, neutrinos, and machine learning. The venue quickly filled up—in part by people with excellent Halloween costumes—and we were delighted by the strong interest and thoughtful questions during the presentations.

The interactive quiz brought the audience together, with participants forming spontaneous teams and several groups earning prizes for their strong performance. And for the first time this year, a physics-themed piñata added an extra burst of fun to the celebration.
