Research
Research Structure
The Cluster builds on existing strengths and pools ongoing or newly developed research projects of its members. It thus offers a platform for the interdisciplinary exploration of common themes from a variety of perspectives. Funding through the FWF offers additional support for these research activities and their dissemination.
The cluster pursues five main themes that resonate with current issues and debates:
- Imperial Dynamics and their Limits
- Ecological and Economic Transformations
- Cultural and Linguistic Diversity
- Mobility and Migrations
- Constructions of Identity and Difference
It is structured around three research nodes, which provide the overarching context within which project members pursue their research projects:
The cohesion between the Research Nodes is maintained through Six Transversal Working Groups:
