The concept of “moral meteorology” has been first introduced into the study of Late Imperial China.
With several examples, this introduction demonstrates its applicability to earlier periods of East Asian history
and beyond across the ancient and medieval word before briefly referring to the contents of the special issue
devoted to this topic.
