With great pleasure we announce that Jason Nomburg is one of the Starting Principal Investigators LS who will join AITHYRA in October 2025.

Jason Nomburg received his PhD in Virology from Harvard, and went on for a postdoctoral fellowship in the laboratory of Nobel Laureate Jennifer Doudna at the Gladstone Institutes in San Francisco, USA. Jason used AI-guided structure prediction to investigate the function and evolution of viral proteins.

Jason’s research group at AITHYRA will concentrate on efforts to systematically understand the function of proteins in the virome.

Together, we will shape the future of AI-driven research - and unlock the next breakthroughs in life sciences!
