To ensure a steady flow of motivated and skilled researchers, the institute actively builds early connections with emerging talent. Summer/Winter schools and hackathons serve as dynamic entry points for pupils and students, fostering early familiarity with real-world scientific challenges.

With great respect, AITHYRA follows the “Mathematik macht Freude” MmF initiative of University of Vienna Professor Michael Eichmair. When a year ago, Michael Eichmair and Maths+ coordinator Dmytro Rzhemovskyi reached out to Michael Bronstein, AITHYRA Scientific Director AI and Anita Ender, AITHYRA Managing Director, to support the 2025 AI in Science School of Ukrainian students, we were convinced from the start.

MmF Science School participants are Ukrainian prize-winners of national and international science competitions in physics, astronomy, computer science, chemistry, and biology.  The goal of the one-week training program was to enhance their understanding of modern AI, demonstrate its applications in life and natural sciences, and foster entrepreneurial thinking. During their week in Vienna, participants followed a specially designed curriculum led by internationally renowned AI experts from the Austrian Academy of Sciences, the University of Vienna, Institute of Science and Technology, and TU Wien.

Thank you to Michael Eichmair and Dmytro Rzhemovskyi for involving AITHYRA in such a meaningful activity.
