How Game Code makes Arguments about Medieval History | Lecture by JAMES BAILLIE within the Series: Digital Humanities at Imafo – Historical Identity Research · III

© James Baillie

Computer games are increasingly a key way that the public engages with medieval histories and ideas today. This talk will give a look at ways that not only their visuals and narratives, but also the computer code running them, can make arguments about the medieval past. The results can influence how people imagine and interact with medieval style trade, warfare, and even thought processes through gaming.
