Katja Kaufmann, researcher and PhD candidate at CMC, held a guest lecture in the LSE Research Dialogue series on Thursday 8 March 2018. In her talk “When digital connectivity enables physical mobility: The case of Syrian refugees using smartphones on their journey to Austria”, she presented results from the CMC project Smartphones in the Lives of Refugees.
After her presentation, she discussed the project’s conceptual, ethical and methodological challenges with senior researchers and PhD students of the hosting Media and Communications Department of the London School of Economics and Political Science.
