… before graduating with a master’s degree in German Studies, she worked as a lector for an Austrian regional newspaper publisher as well as on several book projects and then started as a student assistant at the linguistics department (formerly ‘Variation and Change of German in Austria’) in April 2017.
Her master’s thesis focused on indefinite determiner doubling in varieties of German in Austria. The thesis was a cooperation with the FWF Special Research Programme (SFB) ‘German in Austria. Variation – Contact – Perception’ (DiÖ). Her research interests range from lexis to syntax in varieties of German.
Since September 2018 Eva Marina Wahlmüller is a lexicographer for the Dictionary of Bavarian Dialects in Austria (‘Wörterbuch der bairischen Mundarten in Österreich’, WBÖ) at the same department.
