First topical workshop: "Do's and Don't's of using ChatGPT"

Everyone uses ChatGPT these days, but how can we use it efficiently?

On October 31st, we hosted our first dedicated ML workshop, "Do's and Dont's of Using ChatGPT," at the historic Postsparkasse. More than 30 participants from various ÖAW institutes joined online and in person to learn from Dr. Mathieu Gravey of the IGF Innsbruck. The session began with an introduction to Large Language Models, the transformer architecture, and tokenization, setting the stage for a detailed exploration of practical tips for using this versatile tool.

Participants appreciated the hands-on approach, gaining valuable insights to improve their interactions with ChatGPT for research and professional tasks. This workshop marks the start of a series of events aimed at equipping researchers with the skills to navigate emerging AI technologies, organized by MLA2S.
