AQUnet – the Austrian Quantum Fiber Network
The project will start in May 2021 and is planned for five years. It is funded by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) and coordinated by ACONET in cooperation with the TU Wien, Vienna University, Innsbruck University and the Federal Office of Metrology and Surveying (BEV).
The Austrian quantum network, together with similar European initiatives, is to become a model for a potential future world-wide quantum internet.
