Miguel Navascues

Miguel Navascués is a group leader at the Institute for Quantum Optics and Quantum Information (IQOQI), Vienna. His main research interest are quantum information science, the foundations of quantum mechanics and convex optimization theory.

Known for his contributions to quantum nonlocality, in the last few years Dr. Navascués has been conducting research on time translators, namely, machines capable of reverting, freezing or accelerating the natural dynamics of arbitrary quantum systems. Other ongoing projects include the characterization of correlations in arbitrary causal structures and the development of general mathematical tools to analyze the properties of large classical and quantum systems.
