Joachim Burgdörfer

Joachim Burgdörfer is Professor of Theoretical Physics at the Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien). His group works in the field of attosecond physics, time-dependent many-body quantum dynamics, open quantum systems and Rydberg physics.

Future ESQ fellows will find research opportunities in the fields of sub-femtosecond electronic response to strong laser fields in atoms, molecules and solids, theory of novel light-sources, simulation of many-body dynamics far from equilibrium, and interacting Rydberg atoms.
