Bridging Early Modern History for young historians from Austria, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Ukraine in Early Modern History

The Central European Workshops are an international forum that was set up 2011 by the Universities of Vienna and Budapest. At the moment, it unites 11 universities and one research institute of successor states of the Habsburg Monarchy from Austria, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Ukraine. Every year, one of the participating members organizes an international workshop where young scientists have the opportunity to present their thesis (dissertation, master‘s thesis) to an expert audience and the interested public. Research results are exchanged, collaborations are established, and experience is gained.
