An important part of the fusion research programme
International nuclear fusion research pursues the goal of developing an environmentally friendly, safe and sustainable energy source. The Fusion@OeAW Coordination Office bundles the research and development projects from Austrian research institutes and companies. In addition, Fusion@ÖAW is responsible for the dissemination of information about the current status of the ITER project to industry and other stakeholders.
