From Vienna International Airport to the Conference Venue

Option 1: Vienna Airport Bus to Schwedenplatz

The Vienna Airport Bus provides a direct connection from Vienna International Airport to Schwedenplatz in the city centre. The journey takes approximately 22 minutes. From Schwedenplatz, the conference venue at Dr.-Ignaz-Seipel-Platz 2 is around a 10 minute walk away.

Option 2: ÖBB train to Vienna Central Station (Wien Hauptbahnhof)

ÖBB Railjet and Intercity services run directly from Vienna International Airport to Wien Hauptbahnhof approximately twice an hour, with a journey time of around 15 minutes. From Hauptbahnhof, take U1 towards Leopoldau to Stephansplatz. The conference venue is a short walk from Stephansplatz.

Option 3: CAT replacement bus to Wien Mitte

Until the end of October 2027, the City Airport Train (CAT) will temporarily operate replacement bus services between Vienna International Airport and Wien Mitte/Landstraße due to construction works on Vienna’s main S-Bahn line. From Wien Mitte, take U3 towards Ottakring to Stubentor, then walk to the venue.

Important travel information:

Until the end of October 2027, the central S-Bahn line between Wien Hauptbahnhof and Wien Praterstern will be closed for major modernisation works. During this period, the usual direct S7 and CAT train services to Wien Mitte will not operate. Participants are therefore advised to check current connections shortly before travelling.
