Title: What lattice rules can do for you
Abstract: Lattice rules are particular instances of quasi-Monte Carlo algorithms for numerical integration of functions on the $d$-dimensional unit cube $[0, 1]^d$, where the emphasis lies on very high dimensions $d$ in modern practical applications. In this talk, we will give a short introduction to the theory lattice rules, outline how to find good instances of lattice rules, and highlight some current challenges by an example.
