We are pleased to announce the upcoming conference AI Meets Humanities & Social Sciences, which will take place from June 23 to 25, 2025, at the main building of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) in Vienna.

This three-day event, co-organized by MLA2S, will explore the dynamic intersections between artificial intelligence and research in the Humanities and Social Sciences in the 21st century. The conference will examine both the opportunities and challenges of AI in these fields through diverse presentations and discussion formats.

The program includes oral presentations, poster sessions, and multimedia contributions. These formats will showcase exemplary use cases from research projects conducted at ÖAW institutes and commissions, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and knowledge exchange.

The final day will address the broader science policy implications of AI, with particular attention to the Humanities and Social Sciences. The conference will conclude with a public panel discussion in German titled "Geistes- und Sozialwissenschaften im Zeitalter von KI," which invites scholars and the general public to join the conversation.
