Together with the Research Centre for the Written Heritage (Teheran), the Austrian National Library and the Austrian State Archive the Institute of Iranian Studies is organising a summer-school of Persian codicology and paleography in order to gather a number of important Iranian specialists in studies of Persian manuscripts and bring them together with Western experts in the same field offering them a wide range of possibilities of mutual exchange of ideas and opinions. At the time being, we expect the following programme to be presented to the participants and to the interested public who can be admitted up to a limited number (this site will be updated regularly). Moreover, the participants will visit the restoration departments of the archive and the library already mentioned above.

The papers will be read in Persian or English.
