The Austrian Academy of Sciences conducts the "Science Barometer Austria" annually. The Science Barometer 2023 was conducted by the Gallup International. A tried and tested mix of methods was used: 1,000 online surveys ("Computer Assisted Web Interview") and 500 telephone surveys ("Computer Assisted Telephone Interview") were carried out between September 18th and October 29th 2023 among people over the age of sixteen in Austria. The surveyed sample was compiled with regard to several socio-demographic factors such as federal state, gender and age groups to be able to achieve the greatest possible representativeness of the resident population in Austria.
