Since January 15th, 2001, the new Internet science channel has been online. Both journalists of the ORF and many academics and institutes around Austria have joined the endeavour to use the Internet medium to disseminate scientific topics. As the established and most successful news service of the ORF in the WWW, orf.at, science.orf.at is also set up as a highly topical medium which also tries to trigger discussion and presents background information and an up-to-date events calendar.
From the beginning, the ITA has participated with articles from within its working areas and related topics.
