Fundamentals of Privacy

This long-term project dealt with the societal fundamentals of privacy. In the socio-cultural area questions were raised like the importance of privacy for individual as well as societal development. The basic right of privacy, the secrecy of letters, the sanctities of the home etc. and their respective relationships with democracy were dealt with. Further questions were how behaviour (individual as well as collective) changes through widespread surveillance and control. Additionally, a discussion of different parts of international law in the area was conducted.
