Dick Legacy & Archive "Radiumforschung"
The legacy of HR Dr Auguste Dick and the important Archive "Radiumforschung" have been given into our custody.
Auguste Dick's legacy consists of a sizeable body of documents, some which yet remain unpublished, about several Austrian scientists - f.i. Erwin Schrödinger, Ludwig Boltzmann, Wilhelm Wirtinger; scientists which had to emigrate during WW II (see M. Pinl, A. Dick, Kollegen in einer dunklen Zeit I-V), as well as Emmy Noether.
The primary contents of the Archive "Radiumforschung" are letters to and from prominent scientists, with the most eminent among these Ernest Rutherford, Marie Curie, Stefan Meyer, and Berta Kralik.

Polyainos
We have received a collection of microfilms containing photographs of codices and manuscripts of Polyainos: This collection seems to be comprehensive.
Polyainos, a solicitor living in Rome at the time of the Roman Emperors Marcus Aurelius and Lucius Verus, is author of a book on military strategy ('Strategemata') This dissertation, dedicated by him to the Emperors in 162 A.D. on the occasion of the outbreak of the war against the Parthians, describes military strategy and tactics starting from the age of myths and covering tactics of the Greek and Macedonian peoples, the Diadochs, the Medes, Persians, Egyptians, Thracians, Skythians, Celts, and Romans. It is primarily based on older historical writings from Greece which have survived only in part.
