Multimedia

Nonbook material (CDs, CD-ROMs, DVDs, Microfilms and -fiches) as well as online publications can be accessed at a multi-media working place in our reading room.

Loans

Reader registration: To loan books from us, you will need a Reader Pass, which is issued by the library. For this, we need the following documents:

• proof of identification (any official document with signature and photo)
• proof of address (any official document stating the address).
• completed reader registration form (download)

Periods:

Most of the books of our library can be lent; some, however, are only available for use in the reading room:

• Woldan collection
• AAS Archive books
• books with publication date before 1900
• maps, plans and other single sheets
• reading room books
• Materials on general loan to other institutions of the AAS.
• Any other materials marked as not to be loaned

Ordering online is available via the Library OPAC and the Journals and Series Database.

Reservations: Items ordered for the reading room will be available the next day at 10:00 a.m. You will be advised via email as soon as the item you reserved can be collected. Should this email not arrive please contact us by telephone (01/51581-1600).
Please collect your books within the next week of our email notification.

Interlibrary loans

Paper copies: to individual persons up to 50 pages (see rates below). Or contact the international loans department of your local library, who will handle your request for you.

Ordering from other libraries only for members and staff of the AAS. Costs will be charged.
