Dilek Yildiz is a post-doctoral researcher at the VID. She has recently completed her PhD on “Combining administrative data sources to estimate population counts” at University of Southampton, Department of Social Statistics and Demography. Previously, she worked as a teaching assistant and as a researcher at University of Southampton. She also worked at various stages of the Turkey Demographic and Health Survey 2008, and as a research assistant at Hacettepe University where she also completed her MSc in Economic and Social Demography. Her current research interests are in statistical demography with a focus on Bayesian population projections and population count estimates, and investigating on the use of big data sources.
