Barbara Honigmann verfolgt in ihrem literarischen Schaffen das Ziel, sich als jüdische Schriftstellerin der »Zweiten Generation« im Feld der deutschen Gegenwartsliteratur zu positionieren. Die verschiedenen Positionierungsstrategien sind nicht in erster Linie in den öffentlichen Auftritten der Autorin angelegt, sondern in deren Umgang mit verschiedenen Genres sowie in den intertextuellen Dialogen innerhalb der Romane. Die Ergänzung der Theorie des literarischen Feldes Pierre Bourdieus durch die Theorie der »sociopoétique« von Alain Viala zeigt, inwiefern das Schreiben einer jüdischen Autorin auf die Veränderungen im literarischen Feld reagiert und sich daran anpasst. Mit Rückgriff auf die Begriffe »posture« und »éthos« wird zudem diskutiert, inwiefern die Autorin einen spezifisch jüdischen Beitrag zur Entwicklung von Erinnerungsstrategien an das Dritte Reich und an den Holocaust leistet.Barbara Honigmann aims to position herself as a Jewish writer of the "second generation" in the literary field of German contemporary literature. The different positioning strategies are not primarily in the public appearances of the author, but in their handling of different genres as well as in the intertextual dialogues within the novels. The complement of Pierre Bourdieu's theory of the literary field together with the theory of "sociopoétique" of Alain Viala shows how the writing of a Jewish author reacts and adapts to the changes in the literary field. With reference to the terms "posture" and "éthos" it is also discussed to what extent the author makes a specifically Jewish contribution to the development of strategies of remembering the Third Reich and the Holocaust.
