Network

The ITA is an important gateway of the national and international technology assessment community. It is a founding member of the German-speaking Network TA (NTA) and an associate member of the network of European Parliamentary Technology Assessment (EPTA) institutions and the European Techno-Economic Policy Support Network (ETEPS).

ITA staff members are engaged in many associations, some of thematic relevance and some subject-based, including the European Association for the Study of Science and Technology (EASST), the Sociology of Science and Technology NETwork (SSTNET) or the Austrian Society of Sociology (ÖGS).

We are in an intense exchange with some of our scientific cooperation partners, notably with the ITAS in Karlsruhe, the Danish Board of Technology (DBT) in Copenhagen, the IFZ in Graz, TA Swiss in Bern and the Research Centre for Biotechnology, Society and the Environment (BIOGUM) in Hamburg.
