Kurzbiographie
Esengül Danisan ist Gastforscherin am Institut für Stadt- und Regionalforschung (ISR) an der ÖAW. Sie studierte Stadt- und Regionalplanung und machte den Abschluss mit einem M.Sc. in Urban Policy Planning and Local Government an der Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Türkei. Für ihren PhD (Seoul National University, KGSP fellowship) forschte sie über die Konstruktion nationaler Identitäten im öffentlichen Raum.
Zurzeit beschäftigt sie sich mit placemaking-Erfahrungen von Vertriebenen, um soziale Zugehörigkeit und Bindung an die Aufnahmegesellschaft zu erzielen. Sie ist Assistentsprofessorin an der Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Political Science And Public Administration, Tarsus University.
