Materialität und materielle Kultur in Tibet

Das historische und gegenwärtige Tibet bildet den geographischen bzw. sprachlich-kulturellen Fokus des Projekts. Die drei wichtigsten Themen sind 1) Materialität und materielle Kultur im frühen imperialen Tibet, 2) Materialität und materielle Kultur in der buddhistischen Architektur und Kunst und 3) Konzeptionen und Praktiken. Dabei werden sozialanthropologische, kunst- und architekturhistorische sowie tibetologische Forschungen mit materialkundlichen Untersuchungen verbunden.
