Andreas Ludwig

after studying Physics at the University Düsseldorf he got his Ph.D. in Material Physics in 1992 from the RWTH Aachen. Following several years at the Max-Planck-Institute for Iron Research Düsseldorf, a Post-Doc research stay at the EPFL Lausanne and around 10 years at Foundry Institute of the RWTH Aachen, he was appointed as full professor at the Montanuniversitaet Leoben in 2003. His main expertise is on modeling and simulation of metallurgical processes and as such he was appointed as Board member of the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) in 2014 responsible for Engineering Technology.
