Keizô Yamamoto, leading expert in civil law in Japan and a Professor at Kyoto University, wrote the country report for Japan for the project ‘Basic Questions of Tort Law from a Comparative Perspective’. He has now revised his contribution and included recent legal reforms.

The Institute for European Tort Law together with ECTIL has again arranged translations into German and English and compiled an index, as well as finalised the manuscripts for printing. As such, ECTIL and ETL were able to provide the first comprehensive publication on Japanese tort law in German to the academic, as well as professional, public. The English translation was published soon after. Both the books were published by Jan Sramek Verlag (Vienna).
