Thomas Juffmann

Thomas Juffmann is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Physics of the University of Vienna, Austria. His ‘Quantum Imaging and Biophysics’ group develops novel approaches to light and electron microscopy, with a focus on minimizing probe induced specimen damage. Current experiments utilize cavities and wave-front shaping to increase the sensitivity of phase microscopy (with light and electrons) , and the use of electro-optics for fast fluorescence lifetime imaging. The Juffmann lab is situated at the Max Perutz laboratories within the Vienna Bio Center to facilitate interdisciplinary research.
